441
441 a three object pattern.
As a one-person pattern, it resembles the box, but is easier to juggle from a throw-technical point, but has a more complex feeling sequence.
Patterns to Practice Before This one
Two objects in one hand
Pattern Description
Throw sequence:
column, column, zip
With clubs it is usually thrown with heffs, but of course the columns can also be thrown with a single turn or flats.
The pattern is a preliminary exercise for anything you want to throw as a 4-object fountain. This includes the 4-object Mills-Mess and regular 4-club fountains with doubles, singles or flats, helicopters, etc., etc.
Pattern After This One
- 4 object pattern with the same object/throw-type
- 441 can be used in exchange for three selfs in passing pattterns e.g. 4-count.
Possible Use As 2-Person Siteswap
Probably not relevant, but one could apply 441 as a passing pattern in which the "1" is handed to the other person (other than in the animation) while both 4 are a flip: https://passist.org/siteswap/441?jugglers=2
It probably makes sense to do half-flips on the clubs. As every club is flipped twice before being returned to the other passer, one juggler would probably have all wrong-end clubs and the other all right-end clubs in hand. To always return clubs properly on the handle, one could do one full-filp and one half-flip for each club before return.
