The Real 5-club Why-not

Why this is the Real 5-club Why Not

Why Not 77862 has two single passes in a two-count like pattern followed by "heff,zip" (overall period 5). The 7-club Why Not 9968926 has three double passes in a two-count like pattern followed by "heff, zip" (period 7). An 8 club why not would then have four two-count like triple passes followed by "heff,zip" (period 9) and so on.

If you extend this scheme downwards to 5 clubs, you arrive at a period 3 pattern with "one zap in a two-count like pattern", i.e. one zap, followed by "heff, zip" - this pattern.

The pattern called 5 Club Why Not was probably named by someone else, because it feels similar to why not, also shares the heff,zip sequence and is a good prelimiary exercise to prepare for Why Not

Sequence: A starts with 2 clubs and has crossing passes, B starts with 2 clubs and has straight passes.

A 2|1: Z H z
B 1|1:  H z Z

Z=Zap

z=zip

H=Heff
