A hurry happens in a half-synchronous pattern when you receive a club on the "wrong hand". So you have to "hurry" to free that hand and do two throws in a row from this hand.
For most pattterns, you can shift the pattern to become asynchronous - avoiding a real hurry, but having a long hold time in which you can do a flip on the other hand.
